PRIVACY

If you wish to speak to a member of staff about any matter in private please ask the receptionist.

Appointments

pen_on_diaryWe run an appointments system. Some appointments are available to be booked in advance, but there are more available for people to ring on the day they wish to be seen.  There are more appointments available in the mornings as we have more doctors available.

We aim to give you an appointment with the doctor of your choice, but if their list is full or they are away then we will offer you an appointment with another doctor.

All requests for same day appointments will be taken from 8 am onwards.  There will be no separate allocation of appointments at 2 pm.  Please do not wait until 2 pm to request a same day afternoon appointment.

You will be asked the reason for your appointment. This will help us to prioritise your call and enable us direct you to the appropriate person.

You may be offered a telephone appointment in the first instance. The doctor will then decide if you need to be seen in person and will arrange the appointment for you.

If you feel your problem can be dealt with over the phone and would like to book a telephone appointment please tell the receptionist.

If you feel your problem is urgent please let the receptionist know.

You are still be able to pre-book appointments. Please book ahead if you can.

On Mondays and Thursdays (alternating) we also offer extended surgery appointments from 6.30 pm until 8.45 pm . These can only be booked in advance and are especially suitable for those patients who find it difficult to attend in normal surgery hours due to work commitments.  The surgery reception and phone lines are not open at this time.

To make an appointment please telephone 01773 531011 or call in to surgery reception.

Preference Of Practitioner

Whilst registered with us we encourage patients to see any of the doctors and clinical staff.  However, they may also if they wish express a preference to receive services from a particular doctor.  Once a preference has been indicated we will endeavour to comply with the request.  However, there may be times when this is not possible, for example; doctor unavailability, or the services requested are not provided by the preferred doctor.  Please also note that should a patient wish to see their preferred GP then it may result in a longer waiting time for their appointment.  Patients who have a preferred GP should let us know in order that we can record it.

Returning Telephone Calls

green_telephoneIf you ask one of the doctors or staff to telephone you back and your telephone has been programmed not to accept hidden numbers then please disable this facility temporarily otherwise we will not be able to return your call.

DNAs

If you are unable to keep an appointment for any reason we would be grateful if you could let us know in advance.  Appointments can be reallocated even at late notice.
